Hi all
It’s been a wild ride for us at FirstIn over the last three months!
For those that don’t already know, we’ve teamed up with GrabOne to launch GrabOne Store on Wednesday 29 June. We’ve been running deals with them over the last few months and it’s been working so well for both of us that we’ve decided to make it permanent. Exciting times ahead!
Don’t worry though; FirstIn will continue to be the best place to come to for super hot consumer electronic and tech products (and the occasional Home product which is too good to miss)! We know what you guys like and we will continue to provide it every single day. We love tech products more than anything else, so that will always be our specialty and our focus. We don’t believe there is any better site to find hot deals on the best gadgets.
First In Home We’ve been growing like crazy, taking on new staff in every facet of our business and getting into new prod... Continue Reading... |

We're here at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair sniffing out the world's best bargains to put up on FirstIn!
The show is huge - there are thousands of companies here all pushing their wares - with everything from household appliances to software applications being hawked.
We spent a lot of time yesterday on our feet and took a few snaps (below) to give you guys an idea of what the show is like. Some of the products are pretty random - the pic on the right is of some "humidifier" machines. Still not 100% sure on what their practical use is, but there's no shortage of them for sale here!
There were some pretty awesome massage chairs around - I know what's on my Christmas list this year!! There's also some pretty sweet Android phones around the place as well - we'll definitely have some deals on these in the near future!!
Thanks to all of you who posted on our Facebook wall with suggestions - we've found a heap of them which we'll make an effort to... Continue Reading... |

FirstIn are on the hunt for a general dogsbody they can kick around the office. The following is a short list of absolute musts – which we will scrutinise to the nth degree if you make it through to an interview....so be warned! Must:
• Consider themselves a total geek
• Love electronics and all things tech
• Know the difference between RAM and ROM and be able to write a convincing description that makes a punter (by punter I mean an incredibly valued customer) genuinely believe they need something they don't.
• Love working from sunup to sundown with nary a seconds rest.
You'll perform a wide range of copywriting, administrative and office stuff to facilitate the efficient operation and growth of the team.
In this job, you'll learn: how to track down a power cord for a Yamaha power-saw at short notice.
Intangible benefits: Girlfriends/boyfriends presents are pretty much sorted for th... Continue Reading... |

Are Daily Deal sites sustainable in the current market environment? The Dominion Post asked the question of Adam from FirstIn, and wrote an article outlining the current state of the market.
The article was published in the InfoTech section of the paper on January 28th and can be seen here.
Boom in one-day deal sites 'not sustainable' By Claire Rogers Online shoppers can now buy "deals of the day" from at least 20 New Zealand-based websites, with Trade Me not ruling out adding to the fray with its own group-buying site. However, the boom in daily deals sites has some forecasting a bust.
The sites typically offer discounted products or services in large quantities for a limited time.
Yellow Pages added to the buzz last week when it purchased local site Groupy, while Google is ... Continue Reading... |

A few members of the FirstIn team were fortunate enough to jet off to our version of "The Greatest Show on Earth" - the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in early January.
This is where we get to keep an eye on the latest trends and products coming to market in 2012, and is a great place to get a feel for the current state of the electronics industry.
Whilst there, Adam was asked to write a wrap for the Dominion Post newspaper, outlining the show experience and the market in general.
The article was published in the iDom section of the paper on January 26th.
EYE WITNESS Adam Brown was at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The booths are packed up, the keynote speakers and attendees have jetted off, and the gadgets have been shipped out following the close of CES - the world's leading showcase of emerging technology and gadgets. This year, the word that domin... Continue Reading... |
